2011 Preview
AAA
I expect Ravenwood to repeat as State Champions, but it won’t be as easy this year. Other teams to watch are Karns, Dobyns Bennett & Independence.
AA
No surprises here either – my top 3 teams to watch are Page, Goodpasture and Red Bank. Other teams to keep your eyes on are Hume-Fogg and Harpeth from Nashville. Crockett County (from out west) has been to the State Tournament the past 2 years but will be much better this year than last – so keep them on your watch list.
A
Got to be a proud papa and predict that Nashville Christian goes all the way to the State Tournament (if not State Champs). Other teams to watch – Loretto, Summertown and Sale Creek.
Division II AA
I wish I knew more about this division….got to go with who I know – Ensworth returns 4 starters from last year’s team that won it all, so watch out for them.
Division II A
Prediction for the State tournament from the East is: St. Cecilia Academy, Knox Webb, DCA and either Zion or Ezell Harding. Don’t know a thing about the team’s out West, but I’ll learn soon.
